“Invest in Denmark” is looking for a business developer. Your main task will be to attract and facilitate foreign direct investments into Denmark. Working in our North America based team you will have 10 experienced colleagues with backgrounds in foreign investment promotion. You will be based at the Danish Consulate General in Silicon Valley and report directly to the director of North America.

Job description

Your role as business developer is to identify, contact and build a network in large companies, primarily high-tech companies within ICT, Life Sciences and Clean Tech. Your mission is to convince them to select Denmark as their location for future activities. To assist you in reaching your specific goals in terms of investment projects brought to Denmark and jobs created, you will interact with colleagues in the North America team and receive comprehensive support from the organization in Denmark.

As a business developer attracting investments into Denmark, you do not need to be Danish, but you take a keen interest in Danish technologies and competencies and you understand how US and other international companies can benefit from tapping into them.

Required qualifications

  • An MSc in business, economics, or relevant STEM

  • Substantial working experience in relevant industries, including documented international sales, consulting or business development experience

  • Thorough understanding of company strategies, innovation trends and technologies

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

  •  Experience from the tech industry
