Reception Aboard the Training Ship "DANMARK"

The Danish American Chamber of Commerce is pleased to extend an invitation to all our members for a unique experience. Come join us abord the training ship "DANMARK" for a special DACC reception when the ship visits New York in September 2022 during the United Nations General Assembly & Climate Week NYC. The training ship "DANMARK" is Denmark's nautical ambassador to the world. It prides itself on a long-standing friendship with the American people and even sailed under the US flag during WWII. The training ship "DANMARK" is a three-masted, full-rigged sailing ship, unchanged since it was built. The ship offers its visitors unique insight into a very special nautical world.

On board, the trainees still sleep in hammocks and use the same storage space for their personal belongings as the first trainees had in 1933. Despite the classic exterior, the sailing ship is a fully-modern educational institution that uses the latest teaching technology.

This is a perfect opportunity to invite colleagues, employees , clients, customers or other business associates to see and experience a part of Danish nautical history.

DACC's reception on the ship will include an open bar (wine, beer and soft drinks) as well as passed hors d'oeuvres.

Dress code: Business Attire. Please note that high heels can damage the deck. Protectors will be made available, if necessary.

**Please note that there are steep stairways when boarding the ship. The ship is not suitable for wheelchair use.
