Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (AB) is a Danish professional football (soccer) club from Gladsaxe, North of Copenhagen. AB is currently playing the Danish 2nd Division football league. It is one of the oldest football clubs in Denmark. AB was acquired by Five Castles Football Group in November 2022.
Please join investor Dan Morrison, investor and AB Board Member Joe Gordon, and the Sporting Director and Club Chairman Jen Chang as they present how they got involved with the club. Learn about the club's unique ownership structure, their plans to restore the club to previous glories, the lessons learned after their first year at the helm, and why AB became part of the DACC!
Dan Morrison is a senior global communications/public affairs executive, advisor, and former Pulitzer-nominated financial journalist. His focus is providing thought leadership and narrative development to companies and executives. His experience includes work for Bloomberg, IBM, the U.S. State Department, the OECD in Paris, and the Pew Research Center. Dan is an author, an investor, a board member, a senior advisor on US/EU regulatory issues to a public affairs and communications firm in Brussels, an adjunct professor of strategic and political communications at American University, and a mentor and advisor to startups in the Techstars accelerator.
Joe Gordon is an AB Board Member and the founder of UpFor Consulting, working with start-ups and small-to-medium sized businesses to build powerful, effective, purpose-driven sales teams. Prior to UpFor, Joe had a 20-year history as a Senior Sales Leader working with Fortune 1000 and AmLaw 200 law firms. Joe is also currently pursuing an Executive Master’s Degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology at Baruch College.
Jen Chang is the Sporting Director and Chairman of the Board for AB and has worked as a talent identification and recruitment specialist for the past 12 years in the European Football Industry. Prior to that he was in charge of soccer editorial at ESPN and Sports Illustrated for a combined seven years.
