Georg Jensen is looking for a high-energy, proactive, and highly organized person who can manage and complete multiple tasks on time to support our growing wholesale business. We need an enthusiastic, client-friendly individual with a go-getter personality who will offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem and who will be responsible for supporting all the company's wholesale needs.
You will report directly to the Senior Director of Sales in the NYC office and work very closely with other Wholesale, Finance, and Operations teams. The US team consists of 12 dedicated colleagues, from Sales Professionals to Visual Merchandising Manager.
Georg Jensen has a leading market position in the premium Home Product market and the high-end Jewelry market and distributes to the best retailers in the Market. We strive to grow our brand position in North America and ensure that our customers continue to be inspired by Georg Jensen products.
The role
This is a new role established to support all functions of the wholesale team in North America. The mission is to grow the revenue, online and offline footprint, and brand exposure within existing and new retailers in North America. This position is critical to our team and will support the Senior Director of Sales and other Sales representatives within the company in achieving these goals. This is a hands-on position working with assigned clients to ensure they are satisfied with the company's services and products. Your job is to ensure client satisfaction and work with team members, other company departments, and external vendors to ensure customer needs are met.

Key tasks and responsibilities.
Works to maintain existing independent retail relationships and develop new independent retail relationships while providing the highest customer service level and supporting the wholesale business in its entirety.
Serve as a primary customer service contact for wholesale clients, input and process orders, return replacements, refunds, and exchanges within 24 hours of receipt, follow up on existing issues, and keep customers informed on order status communicating via phone and email.
Act as a home base communication center for all salespeople by providing day to day support to internal and external sales professionals
Purchase order entry for accounts and with 3PL Warehouse, monitoring and ensuring punctual shipments, expedient processing of special/additional orders throughout the collection season, resolves any shipping issues including under or over shipments, freight charge issues, routing specifications, etc.
Act as logistics liaison or communication partner between Warehouse & external retailers to ensure accuracy of receipts, order fulfillment, routing guide adherence, order tracking and understanding vendor guides, and monitoring them for changes and updates.
Accurately complete customer setup forms, spec sheets, or online setups.
Expedite and assist with the sales process of Key Account Support & Management
Drive sales by suggestive selling & providing alternative items when the situation arises.
Other tasks and responsibilities.
Maintain Chargebacks Log and partner with accounts receivable manager to ensure accuracy of AP/AR. Communicate to Warehouse to correct mistakes.
Facilitate Vendor Guide & EDI customer-specific setups among all stakeholders on the Georg Jensen side of the relationship.
Meet deadlines as set by the customer or Sales Manager/Reps.
Monitor & Process EDI or other electronic transmissions from the customer.
Ensure orders with available stock ship on-time and complete and alert customers to shipping & flow issues in advance.
Develop knowledge about each customer's business model & requirements while maintaining accurate setup files with the customer and making updates as needed.
Monitor open order status daily to ensure all orders are being adequately fulfilled. Update dates as needed to keep the open order report current. Communicate date changes or issues to the customer.
Communicate annual pricing updates to all customers and update EDI catalogs
Improve relations with majors and key accounts through a professional attitude and fast follow up and execution.
Hit monthly sales targets by ensuring that orders are shipped complete and on time
Assists internal Accounts Receivable department with gathering payment by accurately pre-authorizing credit cards as required and assisting with research, communication & documentation when collecting past-due customers.
Assists sales team with set up, pack up and selling during trade shows, trunk shows, and customer training.
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate has proven working experience in customer service and or sales. They have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to solve problems and drive processes. College degree and 1-2 years of experience required with ability to travel.
